These sound amazing. I definitely think they need more of these in the UK. I remember when we had a lecture on bookselling and bookshops and were talking about the #FutureFoyles project and how one of the ways in which Foyles could transform their shop is by opening it up in the evenings as a bar. I understand that Foyles in particular already keep their stores open until late into the evenings, but by adding extra features and events such as a bar or open-mic nights, for example, it will attract a brand new demographic and audience into bookshops in general.
In terms of the ’15 amazing book-filled bars where we’d like to drink’ I am going to have to add these to my bucket list of places to visit. Definitely my cup of tea. Or should I say, glass of wine…?
